J's logic

We were in the car driving towards Singapore Zoo and had the following conversation:

J: Daddy and mummy, can we keep a bird at home?
D: No, the bird would be sad. It would be lonely because it wouldn't have any friends.
J: Let's get two then.
Mummy and Daddy: (looked at each other and smiled - nice try, J!)

At night, when D put J to bed, they had a talk:

J: What kind of animal is Minnie Mouse?
D: She is a mouse.
J: She can't be a mouse.
D: Why do you say that?
J: She is much too big and has got hands. Mice don't have hands.
